A personal collection of frog photos I’ve compiled to help you practice sketching, study textures, or just get inspired by these weird little creatures

Hey there, artist
Frogs are one of my favorite subjects to sketch. They’ve got such odd little shapes, bumpy textures, and the most surprising color palettes. These come in handy whether you’re practicing anatomy, working on loose sketches, or just need some fun animal references, . Feel free to download the pictures and/or check them out on my Pinterest.
I’ve gathered clear, high-quality photos of 7 different frog species to use as drawing references. No pressure, just explore, sketch, and enjoy the process
Disclaimer: I do not own these pictures nor took them myself, simply found them on the internet during hours of searching for the perfect reference picture. Enjoy.
1. Red-Eyed Tree Frog (Agalychnis callidryas)
I love their big eyes

2. Poison Dart Frog (Dendrobates tinctorius)
Look at those colors!

3. American Bullfrog (Lithobates catesbeianus)
Bumpy and hard to find!

4. Glass Frog (Hyalinobatrachium fleischmanni)
You can’t tell me their eyes aren’t adorable

5. Amazon Milk Frog (Trachycephalus resinifictrix)
They’re so cozy

6. African Clawed Frog (Xenopus laevis)
These are funky (in the best way)

7. Pacman Frog (Ceratophrys cranwelli)
Mini!

If you’d rather have all the frog reference images saved in one place, I’ve got you! You can download the full collection as a PDF — perfect for offline sketching or keeping in your digital art folder.
